Digital Compositing and Post Production.

For the Digital Compositing and Post Production brief I have chosen the second of the 5 available topics, which is VH1 channel ID for easy listening program called Kitsch 'n' Sync.

For the begining I have played with associations with word "easy" - light, free, weightless, simple, primitive, clear, straight, plume, fur, foam, powder, dust, easy in/out, take it easy, rest.

All of us needs some rest, especially nowadays with city's busy life. Where people goes to have a rest? Ofcourse to the nature! :) I think that nature would be a great signifier of calmness and rest which would be associated with Easy Listening music.

So basically I came with idea of shooting video footage of a tree/plant with leaves. Light wind statrs to blow and one of the leaves detaches and strars to fly taken by wind. As it flies it transforms to the musical note. Then it transforms back to the musical note and settles in the logo (just on the place of the yellow leaf.) As it is a autumn on the street, I am going to make a connection with the that aswell (as I a was advised on the first crit). In the beginning leaf green but by the the end it going to be yellow already.

These are sketches and storyoards I have done so far.

Animatic

I am planing to make a 3D model of the leaf in maya and afterward composite it with the video footage. I have been experimenting with maya already and here what I have manage to do so far.I think it is quite a good qualite, and looks almost real (not here, because of the low quality). I just want to mention that i did't work on the lighting yet, which should it even more realistic. (should do :)
